We lost a great man today but instead of focusing on the great loss our culture has suffered, we will exemplify the knowledge and tools he’s given us. We send our condolences to his family. #RIPNipseyHussle.
Not only a prominent rapper, he was also a philanthropist and cultural leader. He gave black men in hoods everywhere an example of what we should all be striving for as a people. He was a giving man and was all about giving back to his community and creating opportunities for those who were not as fortunate.
Not only was he teaching the youth to CODE in Crenshaw, he opened a co-working space called Vector90, to support and mentor start-ups. You could have ZERO knowledge of who this man was but you can feel the changes he’s made. This man is nothing less than a pioneer. There’s so much more to his story, but here’s a video of what he was doing:
Let's take everything he was teaching, everything he was sharing and compassionate about and dig into it. Let's not let this man's demise become all of our downfalls. Let's continue to uplift and move forward the best way we can. #RIPNipseyHussle
